Lindeman Island is a World Heritage Area and a National Park, so development is strictly controlled to protect it's beauty and it's future.
This means that it is fortunate not to be ruined with free-for-all development, and currently you are able to stay at the Club Med Resort, or to camp in two stunning locations of the National Park.
Club Med Resort
Club Med Lindeman Island is the World famous company's first resort in Australia, and it's not hard to see why. Lindeman Island offers all you would expect from a tropical paradise and more.
The Club Med all-inclusive resort provides top rate accommodation and dining, a nine hole golf course, a well equipped gym, a children's pool, basketball, a full size tennis court, practice and lessons in a range of sporting activities and plenty of evening entertainment.
Because of the way the resort has been designed the rooms give amazing views out over the bay. For families there are Kid's Clubs to give the children plenty of fun activities and parents some well deserved time for themselves.
The meals are all included in the rates, as is wine, beer and soft drinks. The buffets are extremely popular and offer a wide choice of local and international cuisines in a relaxed and sociable environment. You may also opt to dine à la carte at the charming Nicholson's restaurant.
Club Med Lindeman Island packages present great value as the resort's facilities are outstanding and some much is included in the price.
Check with the various travel agents that handle bookings, or look online for special offers to get the best deals. For more details on the resort, click here.
Camping
For those that want to get closer to nature, camping is permitted at Neck Bay, Boat Port - camping facilities are extremely limited so campers must be self sufficient. Check with the Queensland Government website here for more details, including recommendations on items to bring and the various restrictions that are in place. Permits are required (fees payable) and the number of campers at any one time is limited.
Please remember that Lindeman Island is a National Park, so please check the link in the previous paragraph for any seasonal restrictions or warnings, and remember to take all your rubbish with you when you leave. Camping is a amazing way to experience this national treasure.
Whichever option you decide to take, we wish you a wonderful stay when you visit Lindeman Island!
